More About MeBefore I joined the work force, I was living the "June Cleever" life, marrying in '63, having 3 boys, then divorcing in '70. I lived in NH for a few years while in retail. Then moved back to MA and worked at T.I. , Attltboro; DMV-North Attleboro then transfered to DMV-Martha's Vinyard; hired on by Nat. Marine Fisheries, Woods Hole, MA working for NOAA; transferred to Norfolk, VA aboard NOAA Ship Mt. Mitchell where in '92 the ship was selected by the United Nations to go to the Persian Gulf. I had the opportunity to see some of the aftermath of the Persian Gulf War. We were awarded the Gulf War Ribbon, the last unit of civilians to receive the Ribbon; visiting places that only a year before we were seeing on T.V. In '93 we were asked to go to St. Thomas, U.S V.I. after hurricane Andrew. We were pier-side the entire time. Best seven weeks I ever got paid for. The ship was using side-scan sonar to locate the private small boats that sank during the huricane and were in the shipping channels for the cruise ships. rnrnI moved to Washington in '95. In '96 I got my Class A CDL and drove cross-country until 2001. I drove for companies out of Oklahoma and Ohio. When I first began driving women still were being harrased, but when i changed from dry-box to refridgerated units, I found they had a different attitude toward me. Before retiring at 62, I workrd a short time for Home Depot, Yakima. Have a lot of funny stories from when I was truck driving and from when I was aboard ship.I enjoyed every job I ever had. NO PICTURE? Then don't bother!
