More About MeAs my students once said when I was complaining about their work ethic, "Hey, prick me, I bleed, cause I'm human, just like everyone else." Students said: "You may bleed and be human but there is no one like you." I'm a fairly independent, strong, smart Jersey girl but have lived up here for almost 20 years. What makes me special? Well, among many things, my thoughtfulness towards others, my sense of humor, my laugh and smile and the fact that when I turned 18, got the hell out of Jersey and headed north so I could ski. Also can't lie to save my life, which the students take advantage of when they ask me if certain things are going to be on the test. I do not play poker. Also, got concussion #8 in fall term and still suffering from a bit of amnesia. Yeah, it's really cool when you get asked a question, turn around to the board and then wonder who am I and why do I have chalk in my hands. Thankfully, my recovery has been quicker than expected, but still have my moments. My general concern about my students, family and colleagues automatically make me special.

Who I Would Like to MeetIdeal partner - nice, caring, empathic, able to help out when the chips are down, help me take care of the at least three bones a year I break, someone who also SKIS since they were a youngin. Another displaced NJersian would be nice, but not necessary. My ideal partner would not judge me due to my job and/or IQ, would help around the house, would be available to go out for dinner and/or movie. Friday or Saturday Nights ILook up local music at certain venues, have a Happy Hour with some of my students on Friday afternoons or either go home and crash on Friday or get in major silly trouble for being myself...have office hours on Saturday during the fall term.
Life GoalsPretty much met the life goals and aspirations, but was married for 13 years and thought it was going good. No, it wasn't and I got blindsided and sued for alimony! Right now, my major goal is to be happy without any conditions...i.e. when I get a killer job, I'll be happy...screw that...be happy now. Tough lesson to learn but got it now.
SecretI'm an open book and very open. Very few regrets and will tell anyone pretty much anything. At the moment, all I can think of is I give some of 19 nieces and nephews sips of my Pepsi and we call it the "Soda Secret."
