More About MeI am a Living Donor, donating a kiney to my best friend Roger Kohlhoff. I joined the Army out of High School in 1984 was stationed at Fort Carson CO for 1 1/2 years then went Mainz West Germany for 1 1/2 years. For 9 years I was in the Army Reserve/ National Guard. Was in Desert Shield/Storm, after 13 years I got out left as a SSG, E-6, to finish college. I graduated with BA in Education from SVSU in 2004 I am a tour driver on Mackinac Island for 7 months out of the year, the other 5 months I spend working on a book that I am writing about Mackinac Island,Live in Charlevoix MI, and look for full time work as well. I like to Deer hunt and fly fishing. The rivers I like to spend time on are Oqueoc, Maple, Carp and the Pine. I like to read mainly history because I like it , and for research for my book, music all across the spectrum, going to movies, and out for a quiet evening or day off. History, Hemmingway and writing. I never knew that I liked to write until I was in college. I was stationed in Germany, and have seen a lot Europe while there. I also seen some of the Middle East during Desert Shield/Storm. I am an active member of American Legion Post 299 on Mackinac Island. also a member of the VFW 1566 in in Saginaw MI.
