More About MeMy original life plan had me designing a supersonic plane around now. Or a space rocket. Or a new kind of jet engine. But life has a habit of broad siding you sometimes, doesn't it? I was working in high end restaurants while at grad school studying aeronautic engineering when I fell in love… with wine. It was so interesting and so complex and so much fun that even though it isn't rocket science, I've been working in the wine industry ever since. Now I run an organization that accredits sommeliers around the world. And it’s still fun. If I’m not doing that, there’s a good chance I’ll be playing hockey because that’s fun too – and it keeps me fit. Or I could be taking my dogs for a walk, strolling antique stores (because old objects are always filled with great stories) or, best of all, spending time with my son. He’s a great kid and always wonderful to be around. So I guess you could say that I’m not just positive and optimistic but have a good reason to be. Life has turned out well; it would just be even better shared. I enjoy playing hockey, but other than time with my son, of course, the best time usually involves great wine, good food and the company of friends. The taste of a new wine, conversations with friends, my son’s smile, travel, each new day.
