Who I Would Like to MeetSomeone who gets me and I get them.nnWell hello to you. A bit about me in in no particular order or priority. I am a Registered Nurse (and former Paramedic When I lived in Canada). Most of my work has been overseas as a medic and safety guy in the oil patch. I have worked in Libya, Tanzania, Burundi, Yemen, Russia, Ghana, Algeria, Papua New Guinea (this year) and Malaysia. It has afforded me plenty of opportunity for travel and exploration on my time off. I still have the travel bug and intend to pursue that passion again in the near future. I am essentially retired but do some consulting from time to time and when I do work it is usually overseas.nnI'm a Canadian transplant. I am not pretentious, either materialistically or intellectually. Having said that, I am intelligent and perceptive enough to understand the needs and desires of others and strive to give.nI love to hike and explore this interesting world of ours. I strive to be culturally harmonious and have little tolerance for prejudice values. I don't do games in relationships unless they are consensual. I understand the need for many to be "friends" first but what I really want is an intimate partner to share life with. I have been asked to be a best man 5 times so I must have something going for me. I enjoy dancing once in a while but it's not something high on my priorities. Dance music that usually gets me going is classic rock, blues, southern country rock, reggae and other Caribbean styles. I've done my share of bar hopping and clubbing some years ago and don't really want to do that kind of thing in excess. I like to shoot the odd game of pool. Skiing used to be a favorite hobby in Canada and I wouldn't mind taking some ski trips. I love the water and was a live aboard for a few years on a '43 power boat. .I enjoy time around my pool but actually might sell as I don't like having all this real estate for one person.nnI enjoy comedy clubs and live theater. I have a private pilot's license but don't fly anymore. I can be quite playful and like to joke around at times. I love long intimate sessions of heightened sensations like most people but I understand that it usually takes some time to be in that stage. I also realize and appreciate the differences that people bring to relationships of all types. We don't have to be the same if the chemistry is right. Tolerance and respect count. I appreciate the fine things that humans have created like art work, antiques, museum collectibles, etc. I just don't have to own them to be happy. If someone else has the need that is fine. I believe in synergistic relationships as an ideal. I believe in freedom to be, to pursue, to dream, to fantasize and to turn fantasy into reality when realistic and desirable. nnI really do not appreciate lying in a relationship and there is seldom a good excuse unless it is something like “Do I look fat?” I might lie and say “No you look great to me.” Otherwise there is no reason for it. I really value honest and open sharing and communication. If you have a history of chronic lying then please stay away. I do appreciate a woman with financial and mental stability.nnAs for self affirmation, I felt lacking tonight. So I went to the mirror. I said I am good enough, I am giving enough, I am smart enough. I glow in the dark and not too many can say that.
