More About MeI'm a tall burly long haired tattooed down to earth, highly intelligent, well educated single dad of 2 amazing boys(one 24/7 and one just weekends)..
I enjoy beaches, motorcycles, reading (both fiction and non-fiction), biking, lifting weights, camping, fishing, stock cars, traveling, fixing and/or building things, and music (most kinds but mainly metal, classic rock and country).
I'm often unconventional, but conservative in my politics (I favour smaller government with less interference, I'd be Libertarian if we had a viable party). My family comes first, my kids before anything, even myself. Kids come before anything, even personal happiness. They depend on the adults around them for survival, nurturing and an example to follow.
I drink, but not when my kids are in the house. I'm not into bars, always more hassle than it's worth. I love country concerts at Darien Lake.
I'm comfortable with who/what I am and as far as I am concerned, those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter. Did I mention I am pretty self-confident? Honestly I've been accused of being confident to the point of arrogance. I'm not arrogant, but I am sure of myself.
I have a well developed sense of humor, I could make a guy on the electric chair laugh, and am most often NOT serious. Life's too short to be serious all the time.
I'm a straight shooter, not the type of person you want to ask a question you don't really want to know the truth to. I WILL however avoid answering questions I think might have an answer that could hurt someone. I'm not very politically correct, I abhor it really. I prefer the straight honest and sometimes bitter truth. PC IMHO is just game playing of a different sort, and tacitly dishonest.
I'm spiritual, but not religious. My beliefs are Christian, but I rarely attend Church. I have however read the Bible 3 times, in 2 different translations.
I believe that God has endowed us all with great potential, it is up to us to realize it. I believe that God made men and women different, and he did so for a reason. Those differences are complimentary, and together they create a whole person/entity. That is the foundation of a family. I celebrate those differences, damned if I'd want to date a man, or a woman who acts like one. And as much as the magazines keep telling us women don't like manly men, and prefer feminized, metrosexual, whiny emo men, subconsciously most abhor them.
What? Are you still here... wow, I'm impressed, you should probably contact me if i haven't already scared you away ;P Hobbies / Interests / ActivitiesI Put all this in my about me ;P Political AffiliationConservative Who I Would Like to MeetHeck, I want what we all/most want. Someone to share my life with that compliments my strengths, and whose qualities compensate my weaknesses. Someone who, when the honeymoon ends (and it always does) will be able to carry on a stimulating conversation and share interests with me, because that's whats left when the whirlwind of romance passes.
I'd like to meet an attractive SINGLE woman within 5-10 years of my age, who likes kids, values family, but likes adventure and occasional random crazy fun.
What I'm not looking for is someone looking for a fast track romance. I've done that, a few times. Anything worth doing is worth taking time and doing right. So, basically I'm looking for an attractive female friend who wants a special someone in their life, but not in a hurry/on a time-line to make it happen.
If you're in an open relationship good for you, but no thanks, and if you're currently committed and NOT in an open relationship, shame on you, do the right thing, end it or honor your commitment, I don't ever want to be the other guy, I hate him. Always have. Favorite Musiclike Favorite TV Showswork Favorite Moviesright Favorite Booksnow Favorite QuotesI had as comrades in my [World War I army] section men whose names were: Cameron, Kimora, English, Gleidenstein, de Chapin, O'Shaughnessy. We didn't fall in or fall out as Irish Canadians, French Canadians, Dutch Canadians, Japanese Canadians. We wore the same uniform, with the same maple leaf badge, and we were proud to be known as Canadians, to serve as Canadians and to die, if it had to be, as Canadians.

Generational Apocalyptic Phychoses:
* 60's: overpopulation, starvation, lots of zombies eating people
* 70's: global cooling, ice age, starvation, cold zombies eating people
* 80's: nuclear war, nuclear winter, radioactive zombies eating people
* 90's: financial meltdown, Y2K, starvation, broke zombies eating people
* 00's: global warming, starvation, warm zombies eating people
Analyzing the list, I have done the only sensible thing a redneck can do, and prepared for zombies of all sorts.
Don't believe anything I post, unless it is consistent with what you already know to be true, or better yet you have taken the time to research the matter to prove its accuracy to your satisfaction. This is known as "doing your homework."
I got a gun for my wife... I think it was a good trade!
It is a cold fact: the Global Cooling presents humankind with the most important social, political, and adaptive challenge we have had to deal with for ten thousand years. Your stake in the decisions we make concerning it is of ultimate importance; the survival of ourselves, our children, our species.
--Lowell Ponte 1976--
Since I obtained my doctorate in climatology from the University of London, Queen Mary College, England my career has spanned two climate cycles. Temperatures declined from 1940 to 1980 and in the early 1970's global cooling became the consensus. This proves that consensus is not a scientific fact. By the 1990's temperatures appeared to have reversed and Global Warming became the consensus. It appears I'll witness another cycle before retiring, as the major mechanisms and the global temperature trends now indicate a cooling.

Difference between Conservationists and Environmentalists is conservationists try to change their own activities to save the environment, Environmentalists try to change everyone else's except their own.
Buying carbon credits to become carbon neutral is like an obese person paying a professional athlete to exercise for him.
