- More About MeBasically, I'm pretty much a laid back, casual sort of person in that I don't need to always do "something" to enjoy myself. I'm perfectly happy staying at home with a good book or a good movie. Of course, that's not to say that I don't like to go out - in fact, dining out is one of my favorite things to do. I love selecting new restaurants or going to new places. I consider myself pretty spontaneous, and it's not at all unusual for me to just drive somewhere and see what I find, or to stop at some place I pass by on the highway, just for fun. In terms of hobbies, I like to read a lot, collect classic video games, watch British Sci-fi and comedies, watch old movies, cook, dine out (as I mentioned) and lots of other things. I enjoy nature, museums, the outdoors, a good conversation, shopping (yes, shopping) and more! Basically, I'm pretty flexible and can adapt to most situations. I also consider myself an honest and straightforward person, someone who says what he thinks, but not in such a way as to offend people. I enjoy all of the little things in life, from a sunny day's drive into work to looking forward to a Diet Coke to how happy my dogs are to see me when I get home. Life is a series of little moments that are best savored. One thing we can never change is the passage of time, so it's best to enjoy what time we have. I know, that's really deep... I am quick with the one liners and witty responses, and I tend to put people at ease. One of the ironic things about me is that people somehow get an entirely different impression of me when they talk to me. I am often told I am outgoing and personable, and when I tell people that I am a shy person they are quite surprised and often think I'm putting them on. Also, people tend to be surprised that I am not a party type person as they somehow get the idea that I'd be the life of the party. I find that somewhat amusing, but also flattering at the same time. I like to consider myself a "stealth geek" - someome who can quote liines from the Star Wars Trilogy but has enough smart to figure out when NOT to say things like that :) I'm an adaptable person with a strong set of core values.
