- More About MeThe thing that makes me very special is that I feel I am very caring, sensitive, compassionate, and sympathetic to other people's needs. Oftentimes, I put other people's needs before my own. I have a great deal of respect for a person's space and their personal interests trying to never impose my beliefs and/or views on those that I care about. Hobbies / Interests / ActivitiesTennis is probably my biggest pastime. Have been playing for approx. 35 years and the number of years keeps on growing. Having become involved with volleyball when my daughters started playing a LONG time ago, I do enjoy a good fast paced game of volleyball; and just getting lost on little mini road trips and seeing where the road takes me is another one of my favorite things to do. All I need now, is someone to do it with....LOL
Who I Would Like to MeetWhat I would look for in an ideal partner would be one that would have respect for me and my interests, spontaneity and spur of the moment wanting to get up and go somewhere or do something. Also, a person that does not have strong political views as I, myself, am not political and don't find that topic of conversation very stimulating. A partner who is active, in every sense of the word. A person who realizes that special moments with one another don't have to be expensive and that the setting of a memory is nowhere near as important as the individual, himself. And also a partner who does not feel they have the duty of offering their view or advice unless their view or advice has been requested.
Favorite MusicI do like house music, current top 40 hits, and definitely a country fan as well as a little relaxing reggae when I'm sitting at a bar overlooking the sunset on the beach....and classical is a favorite of mine as well.
Favorite TV ShowsDon't really have any TV shows that I absolutely have to watch. In fact, really not much of a TV watcher until it comes to certain sports events, namely tennis and the four major tournaments of the year. I do like certain sitcoms, i.e. Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, a couple of the CSI series shows, but not a real diehard fan for any one particular show...
Favorite MoviesHistorical fiction or ANY movie that taxes ever single emotion that I have. If a movie can make me sad, bring laughter, even conjure up a little anger throughout the movie, that's a movie that I'm a big fan of. Favorite movies are Color Purple, Schindler's List, League of Their Own, Fever Pitch, and I am kind of a sucker for some romantic comedies and definitely love almost ALL of Disney's cartoons and Pixar's recent productions as well....
Favorite BooksGet this!!! I'm a first grade teacher who constantly promotes reading to his students, but in fact, hates to read....LOL....If there's anything to be read by me, it generally deals with non-fiction biographies and maybe a little bit of eroticism....LOL
Others NoticeI would say the first thing that people would notice about me would be my warm personality and sense of humor. As a person that loves to laugh, I would have to say that is one of my biggest assets.
Favorite FoodGood ol' barbecue food is my absolute favorite, with some good authentic Mexican food coming in a close second; Italian food definitely a contender as well.....But love good food....whatever culture it comes from...Oh, and can't forget Chinese....
Favorite PlacesI definitely like Palm Springs being that I'm only an hour and fifteen minutes away...and the Carribean was quite an enjoyable spot.
Friday or Saturday Nights IAt a nightclub in Palm Springs or during college volleyball season, a collegiate volleyball match (men or women) .... or just simply having a nice peaceful cup of coffee (iced or hot, depending on the weather) out people watching....
