I've been divorced twice. Since my second divorce, which was about ten years ago, I've been involved in two relationships. One lasted for about a year, and involved living together for a while. The other was on again, off again, and lasted for about five years. I don't enjoy solitude; but I learned the hard way that it's better to be alone than to be in a bad relationship. I am currently looking for a serious, long term relationship. nnOn a practical, as opposed to an emotional level, I'm pretty creative, and have always been drawn toward creative people. There was a time in my life when I considered myself to be a writer and a poet. I had my fifteen minutes of fame my senior year in college, when Allen Ginsberg critiqued one of my poems and actually liked it.nnI'm also pretty perceptive. I'm good at "reading between the lines", and determining what someone is trying to say, regardless of the actual words that come out of their mouth. I'm pretty good at determining a friend's needs and giving them proper advice (I only wish that I could do the same thing for myself). I have absolutely no formal training in psychology or psychotherapy; but one doesn't spend thirty plus years in professional sales without learning something about human behavior.nnI don't walk very well. I have a pronounced limp that can be blamed, in part, on a serious motor vehicle accident, when I was rear ended by an 18 wheeler.
