Favorite FoodI have so many... okay, here is what I am actually doing at present. Six or so ounces of aloe vera juice, mixed with same of pineapple juice, some fresh pineapple, a cup of blueberries, couple of strawberries, slash of green melon, splash of vanilla extract, coconut cream, lemon juice, if necessary, sweeten to taste, some ice, and blend. (aloe vera is good for the body). But, I love all types of food... Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Sicillian, and mainland Italian Mexican, Russian, German and my own concoctions.
Favorite PlacesI loved Italy, Switzerland, but, if I had to choose for myself - not speaking for anyone else, I would go to India, China. Not in the city, but where it is real. The Amazon River sounds cool. The five star hotels are okay, but I like to get 'dirty' with the people. When I was 20, I explored Northern Canada, Yukon Territory, very close to the arctic circle. Subjects You Think AboutI used to think mankind had an inherent 'goodness,' that evil could not easily co-exist, or dominate. Observing human interaction, and seeing beyond the obvious, I am not so sure anymore. All sentient beings, love, care, protect their young... or do they? The unparalleled capacity of humankind to destroy, is beyond my scope. I quite comprehend what the outer reasons are, and all of the arguments promoting violence... but if you look deeper into all cultures, even back to the stone age, I think we can see people love the same, smile the same, laugh the same. What divides us? Politics? More to the point, the politics of religion. Religion and Spirituality are not the same. Religion separates humans into factions, each 'knowing' they are the 'one' who has it right. They all speak for God. God wants you to be this way, that way... different translations and understanding of the same text... and... Then some say "God is talking to me and he says...." No one can say with certainty, no one really knows. I can say with great certainty that people are actually separated from God by the religious leaders themselves. They tell you the voice of God is within, yet they wean each AWAY from going within and listening, by getting people to depend on THEM for answers. God speaks within each of us. EVERYBODY prays, but, NOBODY is LISTENING... Here is a small piece of history that illustrates that corruption I think few are aware of. The Borgia family ruled Rome and much of Italy in the renaissance period, between the 14 and 15 hundreds. They were cutthroat, evil, and reprehensible. Rodrigo Borgia was a decidant nobleman, who used his daughter to his own political ends. Marrying her three times into homes of political power. She is also thought to have murdered by poison to achieve the political ends of her family, She also had an affair with her Father Rodrigo. Her brother, Cesare Borgia was a cutthroat warlord who ravaged Italy. They were a powerful corrupt family. Lies, deception, murder were the tools of their trade. Now, here is the Interesting twist. Rodrigo Borgia was in fact Pope Alexander the VII, and Cesare was a cardinal of the church. After their corrupt tenure, the church voted to install the 'Celibacy rule. I am sure that the populace 'BELIEVED' their pope. Yet, his existence was not about God. Who listened within, would have felt it, knew it. But, the dynamic of their obedience to the church would prevent them from listening to 'God.' A pope, a priest, are really only guides to our personal connection with God, but they force obedience to the organization. God resides within, so, the deeper truth is to Learn to listen to that 'still small voice within.' For that is the voice of 'God speaking within your heart. The ruling leaders of most all religion know that, and they DON'T WANT YOU TO THINK FOR YOURSELF. Why, then, they lose all the power and control. GOD is great, religion uses GOD, to achieve its own ends.
Friday or Saturday Nights II perform quite a bit. If I am not performing, I might watch a friend perform, and sit in as a guest performer. But given to my own devices, I am kind of a home body. It's strange. When I'm out performing, women always say, I live a kind of 'hot' life, and I must be surrounded with women. No way, lol, when I'm done doing a show, I do get all kinds of offers... what do I do? I go home ALONE... sit quietly and chill. Don't get me wrong, if I had a significant other things might be different. To sit and just... 'BE' with the one you love.. what a thought. SOULMATE WELCOMED!!!
Life GoalsTo be the BEST at what I do, at whatever I do. Playing, performing, writing, boxing, physical arts, or whatever, to never be complacent and feel comfortable, like I'm good, or I've arrived. No matter how GREAT the night went at a show, when it's done, it's done. I've had a run of great shows, only to get to an important one, and just have it not be on.. One can never, never rest and assume one's artistry is complete, or ride on one's laurels. The gift or curse of being an artist, in 'ONGOING REFINEMENT.'
