- More About MeI am a gentle, peace loving man. I'm divorced, with two kids in college. I currently work 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30PM). The hours tend to inhibit social life, but I need the money and that's when the job is available. My normal schedule is M-F and every 3rd weekend (both days). I'm currently working holidays and extra weekends to finish realigning my finances (also on pof and okc).--In the Social Styles model (you can google this), I am an Analytical - Expressive type (primarily expressive but with strong analytical approach). That also means I am not particularly a Driver or an Amiable, though I do at time exhibit some of those behaviors.--I love fall, winter, and spring in Indiana. If I didn't have to work, I might like the summer too.--I do like bicycling (have a vintage 10-speed and 3 21-speed mountain bikes (1 woman's)), hiking in the deep, cool woods, and generally being self sufficient with home and auto care.--I like to sing, dance, listen to music, maybe a little drumming (accessory types), watch movies, read books, and manage money very carefully.--I haven't camped out, played tennis, or fished in years, but I still like the idea of them with the right companion. I'm also open to trying new things with a patient person (I'm also more motivated with a stronger attraction).--Update from the field:-I have noticed that life rarely brings us exactly what we want, and it seems to me now that the real trick to life is working with what we get skillfully enough that we can enjoy the ride, keep out of trouble and not get hurt too bad emotionally when things go wrong, and with a little luck, find something that works out at least pretty close to what we thought me might want to try to find in the first place.--Latest Surprise: I thought it was going to take some real time for me to trust someone new, enough to want to do anything serious again. But, as I go out there and interact with others, I find that, inwardly, I am already willing to trust another person.--So, this is my approach: I will date to see if there is attraction, and then, if there is strong attraction, I will continue dating with the intent that the two of us will slowly but progressively open up and share more of ourselves, until in that process, either some unresolvable issue arises and we therefore retreat, or the relationship eventually reaches the point of some kind of mutual commitment, traditional or otherwise, as agreed upon.
