Favorite Musicwell... i was at the beach in july of '06. my 3 friends and i were drinking.
i brought like the biggest bottle of jager you can get that i had left over
from previous nights. anyway i was drinking it like it was water. 2 of my 3
friends and i was in the water but came out. all 3 of us was gasping for air
from swimming so much. my 2 friends wanted to go back to the cooler, blanket,
sheet, or whatever you want to call it but i didn't. i wanted to go back in
the water. now you know when your running into the water and a wave is coming/curling
so you usually dive into it? well i did exactly that but my head hit a sand bar
which broke my neck. now once i was under water i couldn't do/move anything but
blink my eyes. so i decided to swallow as much water as i could. the next thing
i knew i was on my left side spitting up water with a bunch of people clapping.
but little did everyone know my neck was broken. on the way to the hospital the
paramedic proceeded to ask me a bunch a questions such as "whats your name?, where
do you live?, what happened?" etc. i was later told that they had to revive me a
second time on the way to the hospital. when i arrived at the hospital i was telling
everyone and my dad what happened. for some reason, i was apologizing to my dad. the
last thing i remember before they put me under was that either a female nurse or doctor
said " its a shame because hes so young and handsome." then it was lights out... i was
19 at the time. while i
Favorite TV Showswas under they did surgery on my neck. so i have 2 plates, 4 screws,
and a cage that now holds my neck together. its all titanium. i was sapose to be out for 2 days
but woke up a day early. i was intubated. if you don't know what that means it is when a tube
is inserted in your mouth, down your throat, into your larynx, and a machine does the breathing
for you. i couldn't handle the tube down the throat thing so i got a tracheotomy which is
a Surgical incision of the trachea through the neck, as to make an artificial opening for breathing.
a vent machine was doing the breathing for me. so i couldn't speak for about 2 months.
i was in Nassau University Medical Center from July 17th to august 31st. on the 31st i was
transferred to Mt. Siani which is a HUGE hospital in Manhattan but i was there for the in patient
rehabilitation. i stayed there until December 6th. i then came home. the doctor said there was a
95 percent chance i would never move or breathe on my own again but im moving both of my arms and
am breathing on my own again. i can also wiggle my left to
