Who I Would Like to MeetWhat I appreciate most in a partner is a personable, independent, caring woman who has her own professional life and is looking for someone who is loyal and committed in a relationship. Of course, there needs to be that initial chemistry to build on. "Understanding" is the key to a successful friendship. If you can truly get to know and understand a person, the rest will take care of itself. Harsh disagreements and difficult times are much easier to navigate if you can honestly feel what the other person is feeling. What I love about the internet dating process is the concept of writing back and forth. It is true there are many scams going on and you have to be careful identifying and avoiding those "mine fields." But those that are legitimate can be very fruitful. When you write to someone, you pick and choose your words carefully. And when you're reading from someone, you have the luxury of reading it over again to fully understand what's been written. Information often gets missed in a phone or face-to-face conversation either because the listener is not paying full attention or it's just going over their head. Not so when you write and read. So, as a result, you can learn so much more in this type of venue at least initially, and then you go from there. So, those are my endless thoughts. Thank-you for enduring all of this.
