- More About MeOK, a little bit about me…. I am an outgoing person who likes to spend time with friends and meeting new people to develop new relationships, both friends and more than friends. I am; however, looking for companionship which goes beyond friendship (LTR). Being somewhat adventurous, and well traveled I find myself always willing to try new things. I prefer being outside to inside, and spend a lot of time at National Parks running the trails. I believe in balancing work with fun and excitement. I’ve worked hard to get where I am (entirely self made) and can honestly say that I have a career and not a job. Many times, this fact keeps me quite busy; however I am a firm believer in a work / life balance, which in the DC area can be hard to do. When I’m not working I enjoy flying my airplane, and occasionally providing flight instruction to students (this is not my career but a hobby). Aviation has been my passion for as long as I can remember and allows for the occasional spontaneous trip to the beach, or wherever you want to go. You provide the company, and I’ll provide the transportation. nI grew up in a small town many miles from NOVA a place where being outside in nature is common, with that being said I enjoy traveling (anywhere, to include outside the US), hiking, jogging, biking, etc, in fact I’m currently training for a ½ marathon. I try to do at least one ½ per year. I’m not a big fan of sitting around; I maintain an active lifestyle and can always find something to do. That something to do can be working around the house which I do often (I do all my own work, I’m handy…lol). Lately I have been building furniture, so I enjoy wood working. My friends and colleagues would describe me as caring, open minded, good listener, compassionate, selfless, driven, dependable, very adaptable, and fun to be around. I tend to be goofy and very funny but it will take getting to know me to expose that side of me, but it will be fun along the way. My normal disposition is always keeping it light and finding humor in all things. You will hardly find me with a serious demeanor. Life tends to throw enough seriousness at us, so I’ve learned to take things in stride and find the humor in every situation.
