- More About MeI'm a single mom of a 6 year old boy with a full-time job, if you aren't within a reasonable distance of the Dallas metroplex or within a 7-8 year age span of me, then I'm not likely to reply! If you don't like children or animals, you won't like me. I foster cats and dogs for local rescues, and live in a neighborhood where children play together in all of our homes. I grew up in a small town and have a simple value system...the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule pretty much cover my life philosophy. I was 39 when I got married and had my first child, so I've spent a good portion of my life as a successful, self-reliant single woman. My child and my divorce did not change that. Being a mom has enhanced my life in ways I cannot describe. If you don't want drama, conflict, or complications, you aren't expecting much out of life because those things are as much a part of living as loving, feeling and breathing. I am neither an optimist or a pessimist - I am a realist...the glass is neither half full or half empty...it's just half a glass of water! Don't make more of it than what it is :-)
