- More About MeTo start with, I am a widower. My wife died after a long bout with cancer in 2011 and I take care of her teenage daughter. I love her like she is my own and the last thing I want is to do anything to hurt her. Being a good stepfather is my top priority right now. rnrnI like to think of myself as a positive person. I figure whatever life serves up, you have to try to make the best of it. I've got a hopeful outlook. I would love to meet another wonderful person that I could spend the rest of my life with. There's a lot I want to do, many good times to be had, and I'd like somebody to share them with.rnrnI'm open-minded - I enjoy diverse perspectives and am up for new adventures. rnrnI'm big into sports. I follow my football and hockey teams pretty closely, I play a ton of basketball, and I enjoy other sports such as racquet sports, softball/baseball, golf, skiing, and surfing (although I'm not that good at it - yet). Whitewater rafting has to be one of my favorite activities - you're usually in a beautiful setting, you get a decent adrenaline rush, a little exercise, hopefully the weather is great, and you're typically hanging out with your favorite people.rnrnI'm also big into music. I love going to concerts. And a friend of mine and I get together once or twice a month to play guitar. rnrnAside from my stepdaughter and yellow lab, I'd say the best things I have going for me are my friends and family. It has really hit me several times in the last few years how many truly incredible people I have in my life. A good majority are pretty hilarious - never a dull moment. But most importantly, although many live in different states, they all seem to have my back especially when the chips are down. rnrnThanks for reading my novel.
