- More About MeMy name is Michael. I am 22 years old and I am a naval officer working at Mayport Naval Station on a guided missile destroyer. I consider myself to be a hardworking and driven individual who at the same time is very easygoing. I really enjoy my job, although it can be demanding at times, so I try not to never let work get the best of me. I have a bachelor's degree in Ocean/Civil Engineering from the United States Naval Academy. One of the nice things about being in the navy and having a degree in ocean engineering is I am always guaranteed a job near the beach! I was born in Panama City FL, but spent most of my life growing up in North Carolina and then spent four years in Maryland for college. Despite all that, I've always loved the beaches and weather of Florida and was happy to come back to my home state! After work and on weekends I enjoy hitting up the beaches looking for new surfing and fishing spots or just hanging out at my usual spots. I enjoy going to the movies any chance I get, of course, what's a movie without dinner? I love eating out at nice resturants and I am particularly fond of mexican food, and good steakhouses. Dinner and a movie is what a great evening is all about. Of couse sometimes there is just no substitute for a pizza or a trip to a nice beachside bar and grille after a day spent relaxing at the beach.
