More About MeMay I speak plainly? Selling myself as a potential mate is not my favorite thing to do, but I do have an end goal in mind. When that goal is reached there will be two very happy people that will never be on here again. I am looking for the last and best love of my life, not casual encounters, pen pals, or a string of encounters that have no chance of leading to what I am looking for because our goals are different. I am also not interested in encounters that lead to being "just friends" because that will interfere with my goal. If I had an entourage of twenty "friends" that were ex potential love interests it WOULD interfere with my relationship with that ONE person that I am looking for. Therefore, I am not interested in a long string of encounters with women who do not have the same goal as mine. I am also not interested in "independent", "self sufficient" or those that "don't really NEED someone else". I think some people make those statements because they do not want to loose who they are, but there is a difference in keeping your identity and being passionately in love with someone to the point that you can't imagine life without your better half. I do very well on my own, but life is NOT as fulfilling for me without the passion that I seek. IF those statements mean you want to keep your identity, you still have my attention. If it is said to keep people at arms length, please move on. I know there is a defense mechanism in play to protect yourself from being hurt, but you will not cross a great abyss by taking several small steps.There is a common misunderstanding about bald eagles. (Please, bear with me on this) It is commonly believed that these glorious birds "mate for life". This is NOT so. It is true that when they find a mate, they will stay together in a very monogamous relationship. If one is lost to them, they will form a bond and another monogamous relationship. I say that to say this... although they are monogamous they do carry on after they lose their mate. They do it, but I think it must be very hard on them. I think I have some genes in common with the bald eagle. I can love and loose, but I don't know how many times I can pick up the pieces and carry on. So no, I do not want casual relationships, and I do not want to be "just friends".

Who I Would Like to MeetMy hope is to meet someone that I can be devoted to, and they to me. Someone who I can nurture and adore, and who will return the favor. I would like to be with someone who will be my ally, but will be comfortable and secure enough to tell me when I am wrong. God knows I am not perfect. Of course I would hope we could discuss areas of conflict with kindness and compassion, keeping in mind the end goal of resolution, greater understanding and a deeper bond. I am not looking for a "perfect" woman, but I am looking for someone who strives to be the best person they can and will make a relationship a priority. I believe chemistry is important, but not a clone of me. If we are exactly alike one of us would be redundant. ;-) I would love to be with someone who loves to be with me. That might mean anything from going on an extended road trip, or just staying at home with a good movie.
