This Thursday, we will be hosting an online event for every member of SpeedDate.com. As you can probably tell, we’re big fans of feedback to improve our site. We are also inviting 10 people to do online dating from our office in San Mateo CA this Thursday during the event at 8pm. We’ll provide food and drink, in return for feedback on your dating experience. If interested, please email info@speeddate.com

We want SpeedDate.com to be a place where you can find real people who you have genuine chemistry with, and whose company you can enjoy offline too.

To help, we are organizing days and times for you to date people who live near you.

We will be promoting these events on SpeedDate.com, and sending event invitation e-mails to users in a specific area. That way you know the best time to meet your next special someone.

If you don’t see your region listed, don’t worry. We will be holding events in other regions of the country soon.

And, you can still use the site anytime you want. Just use the geographic filter to narrow down your potential dates to people near you.

Thursday, October 4th, we opened SpeedDate.com to the public. We were blown away by the response. We started the event at 8PM and expected it to last about an hour. People continued to speeddate until past 2am. Over 1100 3-minute dates took place and 230 people participated. I haven’t heard of many offline events where so many dates took place. If anyone can find out who organized the largest ever speed dating event, reply with a comment. Best of all, people were dating continuously the entire next day.

Of course, a lot of people coming to the site means we received a range of feedback so far. We are listening very carefully to any and all feedback from our users and will be improving the site rapidly in the coming weeks.
